Have a Question?

Below are some of the most common questions that we get at CHEEERS. You may find the answer to your question here.  If you don't, feel free to call us or send an email. We will get right back to you.

How do I become a participant at CHEEERS?

You must be receiving services with Mercy Maricopa Integrated Care. A referral must be sent from your case manager. CHEEERS cannot accept referrals for individuals receiving GMH services.

Can I bring my children with me to CHEEERS?

No, CHEEERS is an independent adult program. You must be 18 years or older to be here at CHEEERS.

Can I bring a guest to CHEEERS?

After you have completed the intake process you are allowed to bring a guest / someone who supports your recovery once a month. You must have a 24-hour approval for your guest.

Can my guest come with me on an Out N About?

You must have completed an intake and be a CHEEERS participate to attend any of the offsite activities.

Do you provide transportation?

Transportation services are set up by your case manager at your clinic.

Do you provide counseling sessions and do you have doctors/therapist on site?

CHEEERS is not a clinic. we are a Peer-Run and Peer-Driven agency that provides Peer Support Services.  Participants are referred to CHEEERS to help with their wellness goals through classes, groups and one-on-one support with peer guidance. We work with clinics within theMercy Maricopa Integrated Caresystem.

Does CHEEERS accept volunteers?

CHEEERS has a variety of volunteer opportunities throughout the year and will customize  volunteer experiences based on interests. Hosting a special art class for our participants, joining us at an event in the community and helping us to share information about CHEEERS, administrative duties such as helping us to assemble program materials, or even rallying your friends to donate unused personal hygiene items for our participants are just some of the ways you can get involved. To learn more about getting involved, you can call Maria Whaley, Director of Operations at 602-246-7607.
