CHEEERS is enjoyed by more than 100 participants daily and it is our goal to make room for even more. With over 15,000 square feet spread over four separate buildings, our space is focused primarily on programming and services. Our participants enjoy attending classes, social events, group meetings, and most importantly, engaging in building new friendships and community connections.

Meeting Rooms & Group Rooms
CHEEERS has three conference rooms used for Board and Advisory meetings, as well as programs such as Peer Certification Training and large educational classes. Our large conference room has a table and seating for 20, plus a 32" TV Screen/Monitor, one of eight on the campus. In addition, our full schedule of support meetings are held in four rooms with one classroom able to seat 40 - 50 individuals for large group instruction. These rooms meet the needs for the Peer Support and Skills groups. Eight private office space areas are provided for individual peer support mentoring.
Kitchen & Dining Hall
Our kitchen staff provides more than 1,000 free meals to CHEEERS participants and staff weekly in our spacious dining room that seats 70 - 80 people. Our fantastic kitchen crew not only ensures that all of these meals are cooked and served on time, they also teach nutrition classes and help interested participants earn their Maricopa County Food Handler's Certification. We hope to expand the kitchen in the Spring of 2017 to accommodate the growing number of food and nutrition-based classes.
Computer Labs & Lending Library
CHEEERS is fortunate to have a computer lab onsite that is open daily for our participants. The lab offers eleven computers, and allows participants a place to search for jobs, work on their resume, and check email. The computer lab additionally accommodates our education classes where participants develop typing, reading and math skills, and work one-on-one with our pre-GED facilitator to prepare for the high school equivalency exam. To further promote learning and literacy, we've added a wonderful lending library as well.
Recreation, Art & Inspiration
We want CHEEERS to be a fun place for our participants to meet and socialize. In addition to our structured groups and classes, we also provide opportunities to socialize and engage in the community. On campus we have a pool table, board games, monthly events, and movie screenings plus many areas inside and outside to relax and chat. Our expanded art studio is one of our more active places for many of our participants. Support, encouragement, and personal expression are encouraged throughout CHEEERS.
CHEEERS participants earn "Recovery Vouchers " for participating in groups and classes, which they can cash in for items. The items that are available for our participants include hygiene items, socks, art supplies, snacks and depending on availability, movie tickets and gift cards. We are always looking for donations from the community to help us keep CHEEERSMart stocked for our participants who engage in programming.
